If you would like to refer to one or more files in an iData record, you can create a clickable link to that file. This can be useful for managing project that use numerous files from different applications.
Clicking
the Insert link to a file
toolbar icon (or typing control-command-option-L)
will open a window in which you can select a file. The name of the
selected file will be inserted at the location of the
insertion point as a blue underlined
link to that file.
Clicking on the link will launch the file
just as double-clicking its icon would do in the Finder. (If you move,
rename, or delete the file, clicking its link will bring up an alert
informing you that the file cannot be found.)

link, click here.
