Here's the TAB for a solo to a familiar beginners' tune: The Banks of the Ohio. The melody itself is very well known, so I haven't included it. This solo counts as simple crosspicking, and so I guess it would be considered intermediate flatpicking.

Some notes: fingering is indicated in measures 4-5; play the G7 by barring the 3rd fret with index finger across strings 2-4 (or even 1-4). This is the only thing in the whole solo which is even a little challenging. In measures 7 and 15 (but NOT 13), I syncopate the Lester Flatt run by shortening the quarter note and lengthening the eighth note that follows. I don't go as far as an eighth-quarter-eighth rhythm, though. A good way to get it right is to pick the first three notes down-up-up, but to think of them in the written rhythm.
