Santa Anna's Retreat

Here's "Santa Anna's Retreat" pretty much as I played it on PLECTROLOGY vol 2. This arrangement is based on the way that the Fuzzy Mtn. String Band does it. There's a little rhythmic "gotcha" in this tune - the first measure of the A part is in 2/4. It's not a pickup measure - it's actually part of the A part.

The A part is 9 measures long (one in 2/4 and eight in 4/4) and is repeated once. The B part is 4 measures long, and is repeated once.

For the chords in the A part, I usually use an Asus2 for both the A and Am chords. This is a nice, "modal" sounding chord, neither major nor minor:
